Pullbacks vs reversals

Is it a pause in the trend, or the trend actually ending? The difference is everything.

Pullback

A shallow, orderly move against the that respects structure. It's a rest, not a reversal. Buyers/sellers of the trend re-engage at higher/lower prices.

Reversal

A structural break — a or CHoCH — with impulsive moves against the prior , often with wider ranges and higher volume.
